Neferet chuckled as she sat on the band of the river and her daughter skipped around the edge of it. Zenny was smart she knew whether or not to stay close or far from somethings and if the water was deep. This part of the river was very shallow and Neferet stood and walked behind her little daughter, the cub stopped and reached down with one paw, pawing at the water. Neferet let out a pur and picked her daughter up by the scruff and walked back towards the spot where she sat and she stopped placing Zenny down between her paws. "Look at the water. It isn't deep Zen." she placed her paw in it and then stepped in over her daughter, Then turned and said welcomingly with a smile, "See?" it stood not even close to her elbow bones on her legs. Zen nodded and said, "Okay Maw!!" she said it a short mew and then she backed up and ran forward just to stop at the bank and go in slowly. Neferet laughed, "Your slow Zen don't worry nothings going to bite you..."

Zenobia placed her paws in the water with a giggle, "It tickles." she saw something pass by her legs and she sticked her head in the water and blew bubbles up. Then she stuck her head out, "Mawwmi!!! Look!!" Neferet turned stopping her hunt for fish to watch and she smiled as Zenny stuck her head in the water and blew bubbles. Then she watched Zenny trot around happily. Neferet turned and walked towards the heavier part of the river and waited paitently for fish to come by.

Neferet stood watching the water with stormy gray eyes narrowed. She watched as a fish came by twice and she waited for the third time. Then she picked up her paw guessing when it would come. Then once it got closer her paw shot down and she swiped it out of the water and it flew out over Zen's head and onto the river bank. "Mawwmi!! Look a fishie!!" she stumbled out her pelt glistening with water and she trotted to the fish that was flopping around crazily. She pawed it and giggled like the bubbily cub she was. Neferet went forward and went onto the bank her tail whipped around and water splayed off her tail and she leaned down and killed the rainbow trout with a swift bite. "Try eating it Zenny." she smiled. Zenobia nodded and she licked it, it tasted slimy and good. Then she bit down with her tiny baby sized teeth and nawed on it till it broke through the scales. "Yummy!"
